Drone Filming
I’ve been flying drones for a long time. I own and operate two drone kits, a DJI Mavic 2 Pro and a DJI Avata FPV drone. I’m fully licensed and insured to fly both. I include my drones in my day rate as a camera operator, but I can also be hired just to fly my drone to get some aerial footage. I’ll take care of all the paperwork if needed.

My Drones for Aerial Filming
I have two drone kits, The DJI Mavic 2 Pro. This comes with 3 batteries giving a flight time of around 1.2 hours. I also have a set of ND filters and the ability to charge the batteries on location. It’s a great versatile drone. It can record stunning 4k footage in d-log.
My Second drone is the DJI Avatar, It’s a FPV (first person view), that give a unique visual experience that has become popular, this is know as Cinewhoop. The drone is small and very nibble allowing it to fly in tight spaces, it’s great fun to fly. This also comes with 3 batteries with a total flight time of around 45 minutes.
Both these drones are included in my standard day rate when booking me as a camera operator. I can also be hired as a drone operator only at a reduced rate

FAQs
Do you do half days for aerial filming?
Absolutely, often the drone filming can be completed in around an hour or so, no need to pay for the whole day.
I can work to most budgets depending on your requirements and always try to be as flexible as possible. My rate card is available upon request. If you are interested working with me long term on a number of projects, I offer discounts based on the number of days.
Does your rate include kit?
My rate includes myself and all my kit at no extra cost. I have a lot of kit so will normally only bring what is required for that project and a few spares.
Can you travel from Southampton?
I love to travel and visit new places, so absolutely. I’ve been lucky enough to work all over the world, not just in the UK. I have a full clean drivers licence, my own car and able to travel almost anywhere.
Can you take care of the paper work?
Flying the drone is the fun part, the paperwork and permission is less exciting but often necessary. I’m happy to get all the paperwork in place before filming and take care of NATs
